Greetings,

During the Summer, RRWR was contacted by the NC Wildlife Resources Commission for urgent assistance with housing foxes that were taken as part of a larger seizure operation. RRWR was able to safely house three “fur-farm marble foxes” (2 females/1 male) and was given a temporary captivity holding permit. We have provided veterinarian medical treatment, a specialized diet, and a significantly larger space from their previous housing situation, all to improve the physical and mental health of each fox. After further discussion with the NCWRC, the decision has been made to obtain a permanent captivity permit, educate the public about the benefits foxes provide to the ecosystem, and provide life-long care to these beautiful animals.

The adult foxes require whole frozen prey and specialized kibble at the current cost of approximately $500 per month ($6,000/year). While taking in these seized exotic foxes was an urgent emergency response, I am determined to build a sustainable, long-term care model for them without compromising our rehabilitation services.

Maintaining a healthy and appropriate diet for animals already in our care is #1 priority. Any funds above our urgent goal of $6,000 opens up opportunity to continue rehab, expand enclosures, and increase awareness of the struggles wildlife are facing.  Would you be able to help meet our goal? and beyond?

I appreciate the opportunity to share our mission and your consideration of our organization.
