2026 Wildlife Intakes

Please do not feed wildlife needing assistance. Provide a warm, secure and quiet place until speaking with a licensed rehabber. Wildlife intakes are accepted only by appointment.
River Rock Wildlife Rehab will accept Squirrels, Foxes, and Skunks as space allows. Other species will be considered on a case-by-case basis. We do not have a federal permit for birds and will not accept domestic animals.

Contact us by text (828-475-5779), email (riverrockwildlife@gmail.com), or Facebook (FB.me/riverrockwildlife) with a picture of the animal, the location, and any important information.
Please note:
*It is illegal to keep wildlife without a NC permit.
*It is illegal to relocate wildlife in NC.
*No rehabber will accept fawns from a CWD county. Check NCWRC for more information.
*We do not receive any government funding - we rely solely on donations.
*We do not have any paid positions available.
